Sulley Muntari: Ghanaian midfielder joins Spanish second division side

Former Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari has joined Spanish has joined Spanish second-tier side Albacete Balompe for an undisclosed fee.
The Ghanaian signed a season-long contract.

The Ghanaian completed his revival move to the Segunda División side, after passing a mandatory medical on Thursday, which is  the transfer deadline day.

The 34-year-old is set to revive his  with the Estadio Carlos Belmonte outfit,who lies fourth on the La Liga 2 table with 42 points after match-day 23.

It will be Munatari’s second move to Spain, having played for La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna in February 2018.

He has been without a club after ending his stay with Deportivo La Coruna in July last year – where he made eight La Liga appearancess.

He spent much of his playing time in Italy, where he won the Eufa Champions league with Inter Milan.

He has also played for several top clubs in Europe including AC Milan, Portsmouth, Sunderland, Udinese and Pescara.

Muntari has represented Ghana at the three FIFA World Cups – 2006, 2010 and 2014 – scoring 20 goals in 84 game outings for the West African country.
