REVIEW OF SOUTHERN ZONE AFTER GHANA WOMEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE ROUND 1

Seven matches were played to end the first round of the Ghana Women’s premier league . The Southern zone was an exception with three games out of four being played .Samaria Ladies was to host Police ladies at the McDan Town park on February 29,2020 but was postponed due to national engagements of some players from the Police side. The match has been rescheduled to March 14,2020, below is the results of the three games played.

  1. Halifax Ladies 1 : 2 Hasaacas Ladies Monica Addai. Milot Abena Pokua , Doris Boaduwaa. NASCO player of the match: Evelyn Badu( Hasaacas Ladies)

2. Sea lions FC 0: 1 Immigration Ladies( Gifty Appiah). NASCO player of the match: Cecilia Hagan( Sea Lions FC)

3. Soccer Intellectuals 2: 0 Lady Strikers. NASCO player of the match: Priscilla Boakye ( Soccer Intellectuals)

The first round of the season ended with Hasaacas at the top , followed by; Soccer Intellectuals,Police ladies , Halifax Ladies, Lady Strikers, Sea Lions FC, Samaria Ladies and Immigration ladies. Comparing the two zones , there has been much improvement between the teams being evident in the rise and fall in points .

Hasaacas Ladies : 15 Soccer Intellectuals: 14 Police Ladies : 10( upstanding match) Halifax Ladies: 7 Lady Strikers: 7 Sea Lions FC: 6 Samaria Ladies : 6 ( Upstanding match). Immigration Ladies : 6
