Former President John Mahama on Thursday received hero’s welcome from minority in Parliament, confirming their support for him in the party’s primaries on Saturday.
Mr Mahama was in parliament to during the 3 rd State of the Nation Address by the President Nana Akufo Addo.
Most NDC MPs have endorsed John Mahama as their preferred candidate for the party’s flag bearer race.
He is contesting against six other aspirants in an election which will determine who leads the party during the 2020 general elections.
MPs Mahama Ayariga and Mutaka Mubarik were there to get handshake from the former President who also served as MP for Bole Bamboi for 12 years.
The 2016 presidential candidate of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, also gets a handshake from Mr Mahama.
