Portuguese top-flight side Rio Ave FC have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian striker Said Ahmed Said  from Croatian side HNK Hajduk Split.

The former Inter Milan youth attacker has inked a three-year deal with the  Rioavistas, who lie 9th on the Porteguese league with 24 points

The 25-year-old completed his 500,000 euros  move to the Primeira La Liga club on the transfer deadline day after passing a mandatory medical test on Thursday afternoon.

Said netted 21 goals with fifteen assists in his 67 appearances for HNK Hajduk Split in all competition during his stay.

Born in Ghana, Said moved to Italy at a young age. He was a product of Internazionale’s youth system. He scored 14 goals for the under-17 team in the 2009–10 season and was also the second-highest goalscorer, behind teammate Fabio Hoxha.

He is still eligible to play for Ghana despite representing Italy at the U19 level.
