Eric Ayiah came off the bench to score debute Monaco goal

Former Ghana U17 captain Eric Ayiah came off the bench to score  his first league goal, as he helped AS Monaco U19 to defeat  SC Toulon 3-1 at home.

Monaco needed a 67th minute strike from Ayiah to begin a demolishing exercise on Toulon, who are lying 10th on the table.

The  3-1 home win  at the Stade Lucien Rhein thus give Monaco their biggest win the French National Championship.

The 18-year-old opened the floodgate for the Red and White lads with a brilliant finish just 6 minutes after he was introduced minute of the game by coach Frédéric Barilaro.

He replaced Edgaras Utkus on the 61st minutes whiles his compatriot Ridge Duah Adusei also played 35 minutes.

Other goals were scored by Enzo Millot and Jonathan Bakali Wawina on the 69th and 74th minute respectively.

In December 2018, he featured in AS Monaco 1-1 home draw with Broussia Dortmund in the UEFA Youth League.

Ayiah joined French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco on a five-year deal from Ghana lower-tier club Charity Stars FC last summer.

Ayiah led the Black Starlets to the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) U-17 in India in 2017.
