Chief Imam directs all District and Regional Imams on coronavirus

His Eminence the National Chief Imam and Grand Mufti of the Republic of Ghana, Sheikh Prof. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu has directed all District and Regional Imams to conduct special prayers against coronavirus on Friday 20th March 2020 at various mosques and homes in the country.
It is encouraged that all such prayers and congressional prayers be done in small groups or at homes.
His Eminence extends special invitations to leaders of all other faith groups in Ghana to join him and the Muslim community in supplication to Allah to protect us, grant us peace, long lives and protect us from coronavirus and all other diseases.
His Eminence further asked everyone to adhere to the established protocols of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and follow the directives of the President with regards to praying in small groups or avoid large crowded mosques if necessary.
Small group of Imams and scholars and leaders of other religions joins His Eminence at Abossey Okai central Mosque on Friday 20th March.
